Details of SBI Car Loan

SBI offers a variety of car loans to the customers at the most affordable rates and the lowest EMIs in the market. These loans are tailor made to suit the exact need of the applicant and thus are among the most sought after loans in the market.

SBI Car Loans include the following types of Car loans,

  • SBI New Car Loan Scheme
  • SBI Assured Car Loan Scheme
  • SBI Green Car Loan Scheme
  • SBI Loyalty Car Loan Scheme
  • SBI Car Loan Lite Scheme.

The eligibility across all the car loan schemes of the bank is consistent. The minimum age requirement is 21 years whereas the maximum age (at the time of maturity of the loan) is 67 years.

The categories of the persons eligible for such loans are,

  • Permanent /regular employees of Central Public sector Enterprises, Defense Salary Package, Para Military Salary package, Indian Coast Guard package Customers and Short Commissioned Officers of various Defense establishments, having a net annual income of Rs.3,00,000 at least (Including Co-applicant if any)
  • Professionals, self-employed businessmen, proprietary/partnership firms and others who are IT assesses having net profit or gross taxable income of minimum Rs. 3,00,000 (including income of co-applicant if any)
  • Persons engaged in agricultural and allied activities having net annual income of minimum Rs. 4,00,000 (including income of co-applicant if any).

The maximum loan amount in case of each category of the above individuals is given below,

  • 48 times of the monthly income of the applicants
  • 4 times the Net Profit of the gross taxable income as per the IT records. This gross taxable income is derived after adding back the depreciation and repaying all the existing loans.
  • The maximum loan disbursable is the 3 times of the net annual income of the applicable.

  • A) 75% of present market value of the house property less present outstanding in the Home Loan account and Home Equity, if any. The present market value of the property will be decided as per fresh valuation report obtained from empanelled valuer. However, in cases where adequate cushion is available based on the original value of the property, fresh valuation need not be obtained.
  • B) EMI/NMI ratio - As per respective scheme.
  • C) On-road price of the vehicle.

No-prepayment penalty.
