Q.

asked by:
Hello, Would this work on a Cannondale Cujo 3. 27.2 x 400mm?

A.

The KS eTen dropper post should work with the Cannondale Cujo that has a 27.2mm seatpost.

Q.

asked by:
Would this work for Airborne Marauder? 30mm diameter. I think the post it has now is 350mm

A.

anwered by:
The KS eTen is available in 27.2/30.9/31.6mm sizes, if the Marauder uses a 30.0mm seatpost, you would need to buy the 27.2mm version and use a shim to fit the 30.0mm seat tube.

Q.

asked by:
What is the best way to determine the length needed?

A.

anwered by:
You can use your existing seatpost for measurements, the eTen has an overall length of 410mm with a minimum height of 154mm (the distance from the seat collar to the clamp) and a max height of 280mm. If the distance on your current seatpost is between those measurements you should be good to go.

Keep in mind that if you need to be at the minimum height of 154mm your frame will need to be able to have 256mm of seatpost into the frame.

Q.

asked by:
I have a gt force x the seatpost diameter is 34.9.
Will this dropped post fit?

A.

anwered by:
It looks like your seatpost is an odd size and the Rock Shox Reverb would be your only option for a dropper. We do not even stock a shim or rigid seatpost that would work with the bike.

KS does make OEM droppers for the GT Force X but they aren't available in the aftermarket.

Will it work on my motobecane hal 5

A.

anwered by:
It should, you will just want to make sure to match up the seatpost size to the size your frame accepts.

With a 27.2 post size you are very limited in your options for dropper posts. I installed this post and love it. The post is very solid and has almost no side to side wiggle of the saddle. The up/down motion is fluid which I like. I am using the lever that came with it for now but I can see upgrading to the KS southpaw lever in the future. I have had no issues with the molded cable guide that came with the post. For the money I don't think you can beat value and performance you get with this post.

I put the KS Eten on my bike before heading up to Copper Harbor. If you're still on the fence about droppers, the KS Eten is a great way to explore the technology without breaking the bank. So far it's proven reliable, and the ability to drop the saddle even 100mm really makes a difference in being able to get your weight lower on the bike for sketchy sections. It's hard for me to think of a better way to have more fun (and safety) for the price. The Eten a little heavy, but the actuation mechanism is pretty reliable and easy to maintain. It's incredible what you're getting for just over $100, compared to the pricier options out there. I just don't see the benefits of getting the more expensive models at the moment, unless you really need more than 100mm of travel. Droppers are a technology in development, so until they're really bomb-proof I think the Eten will do anyone fine.

Easy to install, working great so far. Longevity remains to be seen, but I've got a friend with the same dropper and he's had it for a few years now riding 5 times a week, so I'm not too concerned.

I love KS Eten dropper, I installed it the day it arrived and used it in my first enduro race as well as an XC race the following day. Easy to set up and is very smooth. I love it when coming to a stop I can lower the seat and feet will touch the ground. My wife doesn't race but I am going to put one on her trek as well just for east of getting on and off the bike. Tree fort was great to deal with, they kept me informed every step of the way from ordering and questions to delivery. Highly recommended!!!

Tree Fort Bikes offered the best price on this difficult to find dropper seat post size. Upon arrival the dropper seat post was not working correctly. I contacted both Tree Fort Bikes and also KS Suspension directly and both were very helpful in troubleshooting the issue and assisting me. I ended up having to return the dropper seatpost back to KS who replaced the valve assembly and returned the seatpost back to me. The seatpost works great now and as I was expecting it to operate. I shipped to KS on a Friday and had it back and installed on my bike by the next Friday. Customer service at Tree Fort Bikes and KS Suspension was great. I only wish that I did not have to pay for the shipping (about $20 to ship and insure back to KS Suspension) as it was dead out of the box.

This is my first dropper post and I'm glad I upgraded. Like many others I needed a 27.2 dropper for my XC hardtail ('14 Specialized Crave) so the eten was the solution. What a difference it is has made in my riding, my descents are faster and more controlled - it is well worth the extra weight. For the price this is the best upgrade you can do for your bike IMO. I've only used it for a few rides so far and have not experienced any issues. We'll see how it holds up, but again at this price you really can't go wrong. The post seems very solid and well built. The only negative were the brief installation instructions, I had to search and watch a couple online videos. Ordering from Tree Fort Bikes was easy and the shipping was fast and the dropper was packaged well.

Just received mine in the mail today and I could not be happier with it. I was hesitant at first with the post before buying it due to reviews about it being slow and sluggish on the descent and return but I do not have that problem, maybe as time goes on it'll slow but nothing that a little grease can't fix. An absolute great dropper first, and a great dropper post to be my first one.

Easy to install ,works as designed ,need to oil regularly

For the money, I couldn't be happier. It is a little slower on the "up" motion than some of the more spendy ones, but I have a feeling it will loosen up the more I use it too. Only 2 rides on it so far, but nothing to complain about. Buy it and you'll regret nothing.

Quality of the product and function were great. They gave zero thought to the cable routing so get some heavy duty zip ties and figure it out for yourself. They give you one zip tie and a cheap molded cable holder that fails first time you drop the post.

Just what I needed for my first dropper on an older bike. I saw reviews that said the return of the seat was a little slow. Honestly I had to re-adjust the cable and realized the altough the seat lever has a long motion only 2/3 of it actually ingages. Because the lever on the handle only has a certain range as well. So I had to match the two by having the seat lever engaged to match the bar lever and it is super responsive now and locks out fine. Add 20mm to the post mm for the correct height due to the clamp at the top of the housing tube. Super happy to share.

Like it. Works good. Great bang for the buck.

Great value seat post, it's easy to install (you'll have to Google it because the instructions that come with the seat post are terrible). It would be nice if there was a bit more travel (only 100mm drop) and it would also be nice for it to be a little lighter, but seat posts like that are hundreds more.
